Kumquat Thyme Cocktail Mix Recipe Ideas

A kumquat isn’t much bigger than a grape, yet this bite-sized fruit fills your mouth with a big burst of sweet-tart citrus flavor. In contrast with other citrus fruits, the peel of the kumquat is sweet and edible, while the juicy flesh is tart making this a fantastic addition to any cocktail mix!

All of the recipes below can be made ZERO PROOF by substituting spirits with half OJ/half water, water or mixing with a club soda/seltzer.

Kumquat Thyme Ginger Martini: This delightful cocktail is easy and refreshing! Fill mason jar mix with vodka or gin, chill in fridge, strain and pour 2 oz of the mix into a martini glass, add a splash of ginger beer, a dab of honey and use sugar to line the rim.

Kumquat Thyme Whiskey Sour: A cool twist on a classic cocktail. Fill Kumquat Thyme mason jar with whiskey or bourbon, chill in fridge, strain 2oz into a rocks glass over ice, add sour mix or OJ to taste.

Kumquat Thyme Mojito: This one is sure to make you look like a crafty bartender at home! Fill Kumquat Thyme mason jar with white rum, chill in fridge, strain 2oz into a rocks glass over ice, add mint leaves, a splash of club soda and garnish with a kumquat from the jar!

Kumquat Thyme Margarita: Fill Kumquat Thyme mason jar with tequila (we love a jalapeño Tequila), chill in fridge, strain 2oz into a rocks glass over ice, add a splash of lime juice, a splash of OJ and garnish with a salt rim.
